Collection: Madagascar Sapphires from Misfit's Library

Quality and Diversity

Madagascar, an island off the southeastern coast of Africa, is known for producing sapphires in a wide array of colors, and they are often high quality in terms of color saturation and clarity. While blue is the most common, these sapphires can also be found in pink, yellow, green, white, and even the rare padparadscha (a blend of pink and orange).

Occasional Color Banding

Some sapphires from Madagascar exhibit color banding, where different colors or shades appear in layers within the same stone.
